During the Radiz saga, Gohan learns to control his anger, and fights Raditz, and defeats him.

During when Vegeta and Nappa are on their way to planet Earth, they decide to stop on a planet called planet Yardrat. They tell all the Yardrats to teach them all their special skills, and have to beat them up in order for them to talk. After, the Master Yardrat, decides to teach them the Instant Transmission move when they promise to leave. After that, Nappa and Vegea use that move to planet Earth, and catch the Z-fighters unprepared, and after their patience is gone, they decide to kill the Z-fighters and wait for Goku. During this time, Vegeta goes searching for the Dragon Balls and wishes for his immortality.

When Krillin is fighting Nappa he throws his Distructo Disk to Nappa, and he thought withstand it, and Vegeta decides not to tell him it is really strong, to make him pay, and slices Nappa head, and finishes him off.
- When Nappa gets beaten, Vegeta gets to his senses and then decides to spare his life....then, when Vegeta gets beat up by Goku, Nappa tricks him and decides to leave with Vegeta's space pod, and goes to Planet Namek to follow Vegeta's goal of Immortality, scared of when he see's Vegeta, and hopes to gain his Super Saiyan form. Meanwhile, Vegeta gets trapped in Earth, in trouble for destroying a city, and learns the good ways from the Z warriors, planning their trip to Planet Namek, where they encounter Nappa.
